A clean outdoor screen for a beautiful coastal home.
At this Somerton Park home, Adelaide Heritage Renovations installed IronAsh screening to bring a stronger architectural finish to the outdoor area. The vertical timber battens create privacy beside the pool while adding warmth against the rendered walls, glass balustrade and paved surfaces.
Outdoor screening looks simple when it is finished well, but the quality comes through in the set-out. The spacing, alignment and fixing details all need to be consistent so the finished wall feels intentional from a distance and refined up close.
This installation forms part of a staged outdoor renovation, with more work to come at the property. For now, the new screening gives the poolside space a cleaner edge and a more private, comfortable setting for everyday use.
What we did
A precise timber screen with a practical purpose.
The aim was to improve the outdoor setting without overcomplicating the space. The screening needed to look sharp, suit the home and handle an exposed outdoor environment.
Installed IronAsh battens
IronAsh was selected for the external screening application, bringing natural timber character and a durable finish to the poolside zone.
Improved privacy and finish
The completed screen gives the outdoor area a more private feel while visually tying the pool, entertaining area and home together.
